My real name is Jason Struble (AKA Strube & @Strube09) and I am an Electronics Design Engineer in the west Michigan area. I spend most of my professional time working with batteries and battery support systems such as; Battery chargers, Battery PCMs (Protection Control Modules), Gas Gauge systems (including SMBus and SBS systems), and different power supply technologies (linear and SMPS).

Most of my engineering time is spent working on custom power solutions for OEMs and our customers. Anything from a simple battery to a complete custom power solutions. This includes circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, embedded programming (mainly C), prototype testing, QC testing and procedure development, and DFMEA. In addition to the typical engineering responsibilities I frequently work with Asian suppliers and contract manufactures.

On a personal note I am a 29-year-old married man with one baby boy (currently 16 months at the date of this “about”) and another one due in late June 2011. Aside from electronics I love being outdoors and being out on a lake fishing or golfing.

I like personal projects that include “Green” energy, energy harvesting, automation/robotics, and most anything that makes people interested in electronics and technology. I love seeing people’s jaws open and ask “how does it do that?” I hope to bring some of this to my blog and get people more excited to learn electronics.

Thanks for checking out my blog and hope you enjoy!
